im still alive!!

heya people!! after such a long time...i still have no internet connection!! ahahahaha!! i cant believe this!! >___< im just now borrowing my cousin's computer to check my emails and at least update this aging blog of mine!! >__O

anyways, i'll just do a quick update..as ive said before my internship starts right after holy week, april 10 and ends june 8...2 months work without pay...and where you ask? well...i got in Mandarin!! ^___^ im soo happy i got in such a great and well-known hotel!! although pressure there is considerably high since Chef Norbert (our sorta-like school dean if you put it in regular school terms) WAS the executive-chef of Mandarin before. but that's where i'll really be put to the test! i hope i dont screw up!! >__<

aside from the whole internship thing, for the past 2 weeks of kitchen school we've been doing buffets!! the first week we did breakfast buffets!! it was really fun and funny at the same time since we were having breakfast food during lunch!! this week we're having all different kinds of appetizers as buffet food...yummy!! working in the buffet line is a lot fun and its obviously different from the usual ala-carte style we do. but i must admit its really tiring!!! on most mornings, i really have to force myself to get up from my bed when my body feels sooo stiff and tired...but its all good and worth it!! ^___^V

well just a quick update of my life....more to come soon....if i ever get my internet connection again!! T-T

internship

my internship officially starts on april 10 and ends on june 8 but prior to that i'll be very busy with all the paper work, resumes, job interviews and preparations.... >___< im really excited about it but at the same time really really nervous.....by monday i'll know where my placement is...meaning i'll know which hotel i could possible work for... O__o

well aside from that...i still have to do my salad presentation (im doing a panzanella salad, its an italian bread salad)...and i also have to finish my cheese powerpoint report. >__O yes, cheese!! ahehehehe....we also were suppose to have a cheese tasting session...but REAL cheeses are expensive...so never mind...oh well...

and another thing, im writing this in a net cafe...yes, my internet is busted again...i must say pldt dsl has very sloppy service!! im suppose to write down today the menu im offering for my "Cook for Hire" service!!!

im selling out my skills already so i can earn some money myself...so i can buy some new equipment...coz frankly, culinary items are not very light on the pocket...so i hope by this i can also lessen myself being a burden to my parents who are having a hard time as it is already...but with all this internship preparations...i guess i have to put this whole idea on hold for now...ugh... 2 months of work..aaah!! 2 months without chef Pauline!!! >______< must withstand!!! ahahahahahahhahaha!!!!

i'll just let you guys know what hotel i could be working at soon...till next time, ciao!! ^___~
